Seed calculator
Bed size and one crop. The plant count uses stored spacing. Seeds to buy add the germination buffer you enter. A missing figure stays data coming soon.

Crop figures are cited from public agriculture pages, including the Department of Agriculture Sri Lanka.
Methodology
- How is the plant count calculated?
- Row layout divides the bed by the stored in-row and between-row spacing and counts only whole spaces. A leftover gap is not a plant. Both spacing numbers have to be stored.
- How many seeds should I buy?
- Seeds to buy are the plant count divided by the germination percent you enter, rounded up. The default germination is 80 percent and you can change it. It is not a stored crop fact.
- Why do some crops say data coming soon?
- Square-foot density, intensive spacing, and seeds per gram are not stored. A crop with only one of the two row spacings is also left blank. The page does not invent those numbers.
